These Needle tines provide the smallest footprint (of any tines) while creating an environment for efficient gas exchange and water infiltration. These narrow tines are the ideal selection for turf requiring frequent aeration, especially during the warmer months.
Solid tine aeration opens the soil without removing a core. It’s an effective way to increase gas exchange and drainage at the root zone during periods of high temperature, since it is less stressful to the turf than core aeration.
Benefits of solid-tine aerating
Benefits of solid-tine aerating
- It loosens the soil, improving drainage.
- Increases the rooting depth of the grass, which in turn strengthens it.
- Increases the rate at which soil breaks down thatch
- It improves the effectiveness of fertilisation.
If the Red Arrows got needle tine machines out .....this is what it would look like
We will be spraying in the next couple of days to treat
Fusarium Patch,
the strong tine holes will come in great use to maximise full potential of the fungicide.

Out of the 8 bunkers we renovated and lined with astro turf, the worst damage came from the 9th (see pic left) We are looking forward to getting the rest of them done now, for obvious reasons. The bunker (see pic left) green side of the 1st.... No damage at all to this one (ah, bliss!) To check out the renovation process please have a look towards the bottom of this archive page at work done earlier in the year. The difference between the old and new bunkers is phenomenal. I can't wait to get them all done....... It might be a while though :( |
