Operation build a tee.
We are working on practice facilities and as you probably know we have two practice areas. Over the last two years we have created a 9 hole pitch and put.
It was created due to health and safety concerns due to the massive numbers of balls that have peppered the green keepers shed, even some going through the open door !!
Plus the risk of hitting members of the public, cars and horses on the road with balls flying the hedge. Our latest project is building a new (level) tee for the upper practice area.

Step 1. Call in the contractors ( Browning and Sons) to level out the area we want to transform.
Step 2. Dig trenches in necessary areas for drainage, then place drainage pipe and back fill with gravel.
Step 3: cover the area with root zone.... then consolidate.
Step 4: Rake before laying turf, this helps level the area and fluffs the soils to help sow the roots from the turf to the root zone.

Better safe than sorry
The job is almost finished....
however we will have to wait a couple of months before testing it out as the root system will not be establised enough to take a lot of wear.
