                Course maintenance

3/25/2015

It's been a tough few weeks trying to keep the course tidy and keep up with our maintenance work.  You will all have noticed in the past few months that we have done an enormous amount of cutting back / tree work  and that's without the landscaping. I know its taken some time but the changes are significant.
The images below give you an idea of the effort we've put into the path from Ist green to the 2nd tee.

We start by hard landscaping, then use both 4'' X 2" timbers and sleepers to help form the pathways.

Hardcore goes down first, then a layer of mesh to help keep the final layer   of red pave in place.

There's no 'i' in team...but there is in Redditch Golf Club
From L to R : Mike, James, Ethan and Simon help finish the path and lay yardage discs
in preparation for the opening club supper.

Bunkers have been removed on both the 2nd and the 17th and a big thank you to our friends at Kelbec Plant Ltd for the loan of the digger. Our team laid approximately 1500 pieces of turf over a two day period.
